Informal briefing for UNISON members interested in becoming workplace representatives

UNISON office, Rope Walk, Ipswich Tuesday 18th December 2018
11:30am to 1pm (buffet lunch provided)

UNISON has requested with management paid time off work for anyone attending this briefing, and the branch will reimburse any travel expenses.

Did you know that UNISON representatives (reps) receive free training, paid for by the branch, and get paid time off work to attend the training?

  • The branch also pays for any expenses incurred in attending, including all travel.
  • As a rep you would be invited to attend regular branch committee meetings (again expenses paid and paid time off work to attend).
  • The branch officers offer a support network to all its reps, and all newly trained reps are allocated a mentor from the branch to support them in their new roles.
  • All reps get facility time (paid time off work) to carry out their roles.
